e-Boks in brief
e-Boks offers companies, public authorities and private individuals an effective, secure and user-friendly platform for digital dialogue, as well as distribution and storage of important documents.
Digital distribution of post and flexible two-way communication between public- and private-sector enterprises and recipients give significant savings on postage, as well as more effective work processes. The e-Boks platform also enhances security and offers a number of key environmental benefits. Finally, better service is offered to customers and citizens, who increasingly wish to use digital services whenever and wherever they please.
19 years of success and expansion
2016
In 2016, more than 2.3 million documents was signed digitally via e-Boks. e-Boks now offers payment of bills directly in e-Boks, which makes it easier to remember to pay on time.
2015
e-Boks launches e-Boks.se and now provides all Swedes with a secure place to store all that is important and private. Meanwhile e-Boks reaches 11 million users in the Nordics.
2014
e-Boks wins contract for the Norwegian government for delivery of a secure digital post solution to Norwegians. Launch of a new and improved e-Boks with positive feedback from users. e-Boks reaches user no. 5 million in Denmark, and a partnership is entered with Team Danmark.
2013
e-Boks reaches user number 4 million in Denmark.
2011
e-Boks achieves 3 million users in Denmark, is established in the Norwegian market and launches a new logo, as well as an English version of the site. The e-Boks app is also introduced.
2010
In the Computerworld Top 100, e-Boks wins the categories “Denmark's best software company” and “Denmark’s best industry software company”. e-Boks passes the 2.7 million user mark in Denmark and becomes the title sponsor of the e-Boks Sony Ericsson Open at Farum.
2009
e-Boks is awarded the e-market prize 2009, wins the tender for the State Document Box and passes 2 million users. e-Boks is chosen as the best IT company in Denmark.
2008
e-Boks reaches 1,5 million Danish users and receives prize for "Best software company" in Computerworld's Top 100. There are 500 private and public companies that send post via e-Boks. e-Boks becomes the new main sponsor of tennis player Caroline Wozniacki.
2006
e-boks.dk launches a new design and new features, and the number of users reaches one million.
2005
All State payslips are now sent out via e-Boks.
2004
e-Boks now offers Digital Signature, and an agreement with Denmark’s largest telecom company, TDC, is reached.

e-Boks is awarded the e-market prize, and Funen County becomes the first county to use e-Boks for employee payslips. In June, PostNord becomes a co-owner of e-Boks and its sponsorship of the Danish women’s national handball team, which wins the European Championships, doubles the number of e-Boks registrations.

e-Boks opens and the major "farewell" campaign is launched. The aim is to achieve 350,000 e-Boks users.
2019
2019 was the year e-Boks took a big leap on the international market. In Ireland, e-Boks was chosen as a supplier of public digital post, just as Greenland chose e-Boks as their supplier of digital post. 2019 was also the year in which e-Boks launched a new app containing e-Boks Plus that provides users with a range of value added services. And finally, e-Boks exceeded over half a billion documents sent in 2019.

e-Boks decided to join UN's Global Compact with the desire to contribute to promoting positive global development. Specifically, e-Boks work with UN's Global Goals, where the focus is placed on Responsible production (SDG 12) and The citizens' right to data protection (SDG 16), i.e. creation of multiple digital mailboxes for the joy and benefit of the individual and the environment.
2017
e-Boks becomes a supplier of public digital mail in Sweden.
In Denmark a partnership is entered with Storebox for the delivery of digital receipts in e-Boks.
In 2017, 442 million documents were sent via e-Boks to more than 14 million users globally.
